Proficient TIGER is a progressive metal supergroup founded in 2015 and based in London U.k., though comprised of artists from the Uk and the United states. The ring is fabricated upward of the two guitarists formerly from THE Condom FIRE, Derya NAGLE and Jaquin ARDILES who are also joined by Elliot COLEMAN (ex-TESSERACT) on vocals, Morgan SINCLAIR (touring guitarist for ARCHITECTS) on bass and Alex RUDINGER (ex-THE FACELESS) on drums.

When a crowdfunded folio appear the formation of the supergroup, they were able to raise $eighteen,000 in 24 hours, which was a convincing testament from the fans of the bands that were represented in this new grouping. 3 stars My kickoff inclination when I heard this band was non, "Oh, Progressive Metallic!" There is a very specific technicality that is immediately apparent: talented, and in this case, well experienced, musicians playing heavy just dynamic music. The other thing, every bit mentioned in the artist bio, is the clear postal service-hardcore-backed slant to their music ("emo" is mentioned, I would say only somewhat rightly).

This could entreatment to fans of COHEED AND CAMBRIA, at times PROTEST THE HERO (in the vocals department, yet non every bit dramatic), The CONTORTIONIST, PERIPHERY, but besides fans of Alt Metal and Mail service-Hardcore (after, say, 1995). I have to admit, of all things, I'm non too drawn to Prog Metal, so this is generally non my wheelhouse.

Tracks well-nigh of annotation to me are the opener, "Where Are the Birds", I Pigment What I See", and "'67 Firebird".
